Drug Rehab Program

It appeared to Gerald Sidel, after much research into drug and alcohol rehabilitation, that there was a great need for an english drug and alcohol treatment facility in Montreal. Thus, in July of 1990, Le Centre de Rehabilitation Addington House Inc. was created.

Looking for the best drug rehab program for you or a loved one can be a very challenging and intimidating. Let Addington House help you make that decision and feel comfortable and content with your choices. Addington House is a minimum three-month drug rehab program that services suffering addicts and alcoholics worldwide. It has been in operation since 1990. Drug rehab programs that offer long-term stays, such as Addington House, provide better outcomes for long-term sobriety than those drug rehab programs that offer short-term stays. Addington House's drug rehab program consists of three distinct phases. Once the intense in-house therapy is completed, the resident will need to complete the transitional phase of the rehab program in order to successfully complete the drug rehab program. Once these two phases are effectively completed, then the resident can move into the aftercare phase of the program. While the transitional phase of the drug rehab program focuses on a slow transition back into the community and the family unit, the aftercare phase offers the resident a continuity of care that is sometimes vital in keeping the resident grounded and supported while teaching them to continue to reach out to others in the recovery community as well as to heir families and friends.

Drug Rehab

The central goal of drug rehab is to enable the individual to achieve lasting abstinence from drug use. The short-term goal of a drug rehab is to help the individual through detox and withdrawal from drugs in addition to improving their ability to function in society again. The long-term goals of drug rehab are to help people to stay sober and learn to deal with their problems without the use of drugs and/or alcohol. People who stay in a drug rehab for a minimum of three months will typically have better outcomes than those who stay less time. Drug rehab centers will allow the individual to take the necessary time to deal with their issues and to focus on getting better without the distractions of everyday life. Aftercare programs offered by drug rehab centers will provide the individuals with continuity of care once their intense therapy is completed and they have successfully completed the drug rehab program. Family support and counseling are also extremely beneficial and important with drug rehab. Addington House offers all of these components in their drug rehab program. Our drug rehab program focuses on helping people struggling with alcohol abuse, heroin addiction and cocaine addiction, prescription drug addiction, and other drugs. Choosing a drug rehab treatment program is deciding and wanting to begin a better way of life. It's important to remember that, just as alcohol and drug addiction don't happen overnight, neither does the recovery process. Recovery is ongoing and each aspect of life that is affected by alcohol and drug use must always be addressed.
